Welcome to HawkHacks!

HawkHacks came out of a desire to give everyone an equal opportunity to get into tech, whether that be programming, networking, researching, learning, or teaching. Join hundreds of students across Canada (and across the world) in a 36-hour period of exploration, creativity, and learning! Remember, you don’t have to be a pro to participate - show up with ten years of experience or ten minutes of experience (oh yeah, and a great attitude too!)

Requirements

What to Build

You can build anything! We don't have a "theme" or anything of the sort, so try to be as creative and inspirational with what you create, and how you do it. You can also tailor your submission to any of the specific categories.

Project & Submission Requirements

  • Must have a registered team on the Discord server using the /team command.
    • Even if you are solo, you must still create a team, even if that team only contains yourself.
  • The code is to be written during the duration of the event (May 13th, 6 PM EST -  May 15th, 2 PM EST).
  • The project must be original, isn't plagiarised, and cannot be used in a different hackathon - likewise, it cannot be from an existing hackathon.
  • Make sure that your Devpost submission has the following:
    • A video (2 minutes max) describing your application.
    • A link to your public GitHub repository.
    • A complete Devpost submission.

Eligibility

  • Must have received an acceptance email.
